The plenary session of the Arona City Council will debate today, at the proposal of the Government team, the creation of an “own structure”, modifying the List of Job Posts, which promotes the construction of public housing in the municipality. Specifically, it is about providing the Housing area with sufficient tools to be able to carry out projects that Arona has pending in areas such as Guargacho, El Fraile or Cabo Blanco.
The municipal government spokesman, Leopoldo Díaz, stresses that it is a measure, “endorsed by the unions, which undoubtedly benefits the neighbors.” “It is essential that political groups speak out for or against public housing projects, especially when in recent months many of them have defended and presented initiatives on these policies. Today they have the opportunity to show themselves as constructive and coherent parties or demonstrate that the supposed interest in public housing has been pure opportunism.
