The Council of Tenerife today, Wednesday, has joined the call for the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (EMFF) and the Canarian Federation of Municipalities (FECAM) to save a minute of silence when fulfilled 25 years since the murder of the councilor of Ermua Michelangelo White.
The president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, participated in the act, together with members of the Insular Corporation, who have maintained the 60 seconds of respect at the gates of the Insular Palace in an emotional tribute and memory of the public official, kidnapped and murdered by ETA.
The president had a words of remembrance to all the victims of the terrorist group and pointed out that a date like today’s helps not to forget the events that occurred and that marked the history of our country.
