The three theming options for the 2023 Carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are ‘La Televisión’, ‘New York, the city that never sleeps’ and ‘A Sustainable World’. The City Council, through the Autonomous Organization for Fiestas and Recreational Activities (OAFAR), will open the voting period for the theme of Carnival 2023 from 12:00 on Tuesday.
The popular consultation will be carried out through the website carnavaldetenerife.com and will remain active until 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 18. To avoid the duplication of votes, the computer system will apply a filter, so that only one vote will be computed for each IP address.
For the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, “these three themes have a large number of creative options to make the costumes and fantasies that our groups and neighbors will come up with in the coming months.”
In this sense, the mayor stated that this vote “is the first public step of Carnival 2023, an edition for which there are only six months left; and in which the usual times and calendars will be recovered.”
