SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 10 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de La Gomera has reported the extinction of an outbreak of fire declared at 2:00 p.m. this Sunday in the municipality of Valle Gran Rey, in the Las Hayas area. The affected perimeter did not exceed 50 square meters of pasture and abandoned terraces.
Members of the Environment Unit, Valle Gran Rey Volunteer Firefighters and Civil Protection acted in the tasks of extinguishing the outbreak.
The Emergency Counselor, Héctor Cabrera, has appealed for responsibility and to avoid risky situations that could lead to an outbreak like the one registered this afternoon, for which he asks to comply with the current restrictions that prohibit making fires, the use of chainsaws and brushcutters, as well as the use of barbecues in recreational areas.
