SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 9. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de La Palma, through the Social Action Area, has given the green light to the call for subsidies related to the prevention of addictions on the Island. In this way, it mobilizes 84,000 euros to carry out projects that promote a style healthy and active life.
The Minister of Social Action, Nieves Hernández, has reiterated that the priority of the Cabildo is to take care of people, regardless of their physical or social condition. “Investing in preventing addictions is promoting health and self-care. It is also a way of promoting actions that make the population aware of the problem of addictions, and avoid the stigma of people who suffer from this problem,” she added.
The initiatives benefiting from the public call for grants for non-profit entities are ‘La Palma, health space 2022’, developed by the Palmera Association for the Prevention and Treatment of Drug Addiction, and ‘Move with me La Palma 2022’ , promoted by the CESICA Foundation.
