CC-PNC in the Cabildo proposes five measures “to fight inflation and help Tenerife families.” Carlos Alonso, a nationalist spokesman, defends the implementation of tax checks for the self-employed and SMEs, the reduction in the price of fuel and public transport rates and specific aid for the primary and industrial sector, He recalls that «inflation reaches 10, 2%, the highest figure in the last 37 years»
Alonso considers it key to “implement actions that reach the population directly” and understands that they are “possible” decisions. He points out that Minister Nadia Calviño recognizes “an inflation scenario is more persistent and higher than what the Government expected” and the coming quarters are going to be “complex.”
Alonso values that “the Cabildo has the resources and capacity to take measures to alleviate the inflation of Tenerife families.”
The initiatives proposed by CC-PNC are tax checks for the self-employed and SMEs; fuel price deduction; reduction in public transport fares, both in Titsa and Metropolitano; aid to the primary sector “with the promotion of actions to balance the island’s economic model that increase the weight of Agriculture, Livestock and Fishing in the productive system” and aid to the industrial sector.
Other proposals are the review of the prices of public contracts awarded and encourage the acquisition of Products Made in the Canary Islands in tenders and the reduction of excise taxes / taxes of island and regional management: IGIC and Special Tax on petroleum-derived fuels. And that industrial companies can benefit from an ERTE due to force majeure.
