the mayor of The Realejos, Adolfo Gonzalez (PP)visited La Piñera street, together with the area councillor, Dario Perez (PP)where technical staff from the Municipal Planning Department has begun the topographical study of the land in the upper section of the road at its confluence with Los Angostos road and Traversed road to assess the widening of the road, as the residents and users of this road have been demanding. The action has the approval of the owners of neighboring land, willing to give up space for the work.
“There is a problem in this final section of the ascent of La Piñera due to the narrowness of the road, generating specific moments of congestion and accessibility difficulties in two-way traffic, for which we appreciate the willingness shown by up to three owners in the area to cede part of their land and thus facilitate the expansion and street conditioning, improving the visibility and safety of those who pass through it», highlighted Adolfo González.
As detailed by the mayor, “with the technical staff assigned to the Municipal Planning Office we have carried out the corresponding topographical survey and study of measurements of the current layout and of the fractions of private land that can be incorporated into a new design of the roadway of the aforementioned upper section of the roadto work as soon as possible on the most suitable solution for this demanded improvement».
San Francisco Cemetery Expansion
In addition, the Realejero City Council announces the acquisition of some plots attached to the San Francisco cemetery in order to undertake the project to expand the cemetery. “Given the need to expand the cemetery, the corresponding transaction for the sale of some adjoining land that was privately owned was processed, which after having been made effective has given us the opportunity to start the corresponding technical works for the drafting of the project”, explains the mayor.
