The National Police has reported this Friday of the arrest in Santa Cruz de Tenerife of a man related to the possession of almost 18,000 kilos of hydrochloric acid and claimed for 11 years by Venezuela.
The fugitive has an international arrest warrant filed by the Venezuelan authorities for illicit association and crime against public health, indicates the National Police.
The crime attributed to him would have been committed organized with other people and is punishable in Venezuela with a maximum sentence of 20 years.
The National Police explains that the first police efforts revealed that he could be in the capital of Tenerife and adds that, after locating him, the agents verified the identity of the fugitive and arrested him after being on the run for 11 years.
