The councilor from Santa Cruz has sent a letter to Moncloa in which he expresses his discomfort and demands that the capital of Tenerife and also the capital of the autonomous community of the Canary Islands, as well as Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, be included among the Spanish cities that they will host the Spanish Presidency of the EU.
Bermúdez considers that the Central Government’s proposal “demonstrates the lack of absolute knowledge of the reality of the Islands, of the different sensitivities and of the need to maintain the balance between the different territories that make it up”, said José Manuel Bermúdez.
