The City Council of Santiago del Teide announces that, until 1:00 p.m. next Wednesday, July 20, the deadline for the presentation of the works that will compete in the VI Literary Contest “Lyric Letters of Santiago 2022” is open, to which they can All those people of legal age who wish to do so, residents in Spain, can attend, provided that they present the works in Spanish, original and unpublished, not published in any type of format either totally or partially (including the Internet), not awarded or pending judgment in other contests or waiting for a response in an editorial process Failure to comply with this first rule automatically disqualifies the participant.
The theme will be free, emphasizing that a “Special Award” to the work whose content takes into account any of the many outstanding aspects-landscape, ethnography, etc.- of Santiago del Teide; although the first prize may go to a work that is recreated in the municipality, apart from the Special Prize.
Regarding the deadline for the delivery of works, this will be until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20 -peninsular Spanish time-while the jury’s verdict will be announced on July 25emphasizing that the winners will be summoned to the institutional act of delivery of distinctions, which will be held coinciding with the festivity of Santiago Apóstol.
For the mode of “Story”, the work must have a maximum extension of 7 pages and a minimum of 4 pages; While the modality “Poetry” It must have a maximum length of 200 lines and a minimum of 25 lines. Finally, the mode of “Loa” It will have a maximum length of 75 lines and a minimum of 25 lines.
As for the prizes, each of the contest modalities will be awarded:

Similarly, the original work must be typed double-spaced, using “Arial”, “Times New Roman” or similar 12-point font, and must have a single-sided A-4 size document format. The original of the work will be presented only in digital format through the digital platform “mundoarti.com”. A PDF must be attached with the anonymous literary work and fill in the personal data (escrow); highlighting that submissions that include drawings, photos, external links or any type of embellishment outside the text will not be accepted.
Finally, it should be noted that the jury will be chaired by the Councilor for Culture of the City Council of Santiago del Teide and will have as members people related and qualified in literary art; although a technician from the Department of Culture will act as secretary of the jury.
