Tenerife will soon have a different shopping center focused on the highest quality gastronomy and haute couture fashion, with firms of first international relevance. Is named Gallery, is being built in the heart of Costa Adeje and the works are advanced, so much so that its managers hope it can open between the end of this year and the beginning of next. Surrounded by luxury hotels, one of them, the Royal Hideaway Corales, yesterday hosted the presentation of the project, especially to a broad representation of businessmen, most of them linked to tourism and restaurants. Javier Ravina, CEO of The Gallery shopping center, assured that “excellence will shine above all else” in this facility.
Three floors on 12,000 square meters, of which 8,000 will be of useful surface; around 70 spaces for stores focused on fashion and gastronomy, 5,000 square meters of outdoor area, spaces for leisure and a chill-out area, a large car park… «We started this project in 2015 and we had to stop work as a result of the pandemic. But our professionals have continued to support us, the works have been resumed and they are advancing at a very good pace. I want to take this opportunity to thank them for their effort and dedication”, detailed Javier Ravina at the event.
The Gallery rises above the former Tropicana nightclub. The idea was born from the vision of entrepreneurs who, after carrying out various studies, saw the need to provide the Island with a pioneering and different complex thanks to the surrounding environment. Keep in mind that Costa Adeje is a tourist area that concentrates a large number of luxury hotels. New resorts are currently being built that make Tenerife one of the places with the largest number of establishments of this type in the world.
The Gallery will offer restaurants with Canarian and international cuisine, a gastromarket with quality products, as well as cafeterias. Then there will be another very prominent part dedicated to fashion, with top international firms.
Among those attending yesterday’s presentation ceremony were, among others, José Carlos Francisco, president of the Economic and Social Council of the Canary Islands; David Perez, CEO of Tenerife Tourism; a wide representation of the City Council of Adeje, and Ana Zurita, national deputy of the Tenerife PP. Zurita offered a few words during the act: «I am very impressed with the great project of The Gallery. It has been in the making for many years and will soon become a reality. I think it’s a great idea to bet on the binomial formed by fashion and gastronomy, also linked to tourism. I hope and wish that The Gallery becomes a reference among the shopping centers in Tenerife».
The numerous attendees to the event were able to tour the works of The Gallery shopping centre, which are quite advanced, and learn all the details of the project from the hands of its main managers.
