The Councilor for Local Development and Tourism of the City Hall of Arico, Victor Garciaand the director of Gastromusic Tenerife, Lisa Penapresented this Tuesday, July 5, at the facilities of Nivaria Beach the first edition in the south of the island of this festival that the next saturday july 9th will mix good music and gastronomy on the coast of the nucleus of abbots. It will start at 12:00 noon and end at midnight.
The City Hall of Arico sponsor the festival Gastromusic Tenerife 2022organized by Flavors of the North Canary Islands. An event that will unite, in the same space, the best avant-garde gastronomy, local products from Arico and the rest of the Canary Islands, with activities with all kinds of proposals for the family, contests and live music with guest artists such as Ni Un Pelo de Tonto, Miss Music Band, DJ Renzzo El Selector or The Screensavers, among others. Admission to the festival is free.
the mayor Victor Garcia points out that this festival “will be a family event that will help boost tourism in the entire municipality, especially in the Abades neighborhood.” In his opinion, “also it will be a great opportunity so that the ariqueros and the ariqueras enjoy a different activity, which has never been celebrated in our region, and which will surely help to better promote our municipality abroad».
After three editions in the North, this festival moves to the South for the first time
The mayor stated that Gastromusic 2022 is “an important commitment of the consistory, since it is one of the most important events in Tenerife in music and gastronomy. Fun and leisure go, in this case, hand in hand with local promotion: «We want Arico to be knownour coast and gastronomy to boost the local economy”.
García points out that this festival «fits perfectly with our line of work from the Tourism area and with the campaign Arico, corners to discover». And it will become “one of the most important events to be held in the municipality this summer. The first great musical event, beyond the Lustral Festivalswhich will also be organized in the locality».
The director of Gastromusic Tenerife, Lisa Pena, added that this year the festival is moving to the South “after holding three editions in the North.” Among its novelties, «the first kilometer zero fish contest in Tenerifewhere a tribute will be paid to the artisanal fishing of cut, the fishermen and their brotherhood». Peña stressed that the festival will have this Saturday “a magnificent line-up of artists and a great gastronomic variety, in which local and local products are always committed.”
