The Lanzarote Swimming School (ESNA Lanzarote) achieved several medals last weekend at the Children-Junior-Absolute Summer Regional Championship V Memorial Gregorio Sotoheld at the Acidalio Lorenzo pool in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where 17 of its swimmers traveled.
Following the trend of recent months, the ESNA Lanzarote expedition once again demonstrated an unprecedented evolution on the island of Conejera and the rest of the Canary Islands, climbing to the Tenerife podium on numerous occasions.
The medals in the relay teams were as follows:
4×50 Free (male) Absolute Category: SILVER
4×50 Styles (male) Absolute Category: BRONZE
4×100 Free (male) Absolute Category: BRONZE
4×50 Free (female) Absolute Category: BRONZE
4×100 Free (male) Children’s Category: GOLD
4×200 Free (male) Children’s Category: GOLD
4×100 Freestyle (female) Children’s Category: SILVER
4×200 Freestyle (female) Children’s Category: SILVER
On the other hand, the ESNA Lanzarote team received andl third-placed trophy in the female children’s category by sum of points and another third-placed trophy for the overall position in the Children’s categoryl by sum of points.
The individual prizes for the FINA table of the Championship recognize the best athletes in the category. The swimmer Hugo Rijo Martin (2005) has been the first classified in the Junior Male category for his participation in 400 Free with a time of 4’10:98. the swimmer claudia perez (2008) received the prize as the second classified in the Children’s Women’s category for her participation in the 400 Free with a time of 4’42:01.
ESNA Lanzarote highlights that the successes of its swimmers in the last year have been accompanied by the support of companies such as Líneas Romero, which, from the beginning, supported the team. But also the sum of entities such as Crea Lanzarote, Vitaldent, Graciplus, Stilo Vitae and Transportes Jorge Barreto.
Practically without having digested the successes achieved on the island of Tenerife, ESNA is already preparing the expedition to the next Spanish Children’s and Junior championships.
