The Department of Youth Guimar Town Hall calls for financial aid for the youth of Guimaraes, aimed at defraying part of the expenses derived from obtaining a type B driving license.
The Güímar Educa Plan in its strategic axis of ‘Emancipation’ of the Youth and Education area of the City Council of Guimarcontemplates the creation of specific proposals that can contribute to employability and support for self-employment.
“There are many young people who tell us about the difficulty of finding work because they don’t have a driver’s license. This initiative is going to help in that task, and, on the other hand, it will be an economic incentive for our four driving schools,” said Mayor Gustavo Pérez.
Haridian Martín, Councilor for Youth and Education, and also responsible for the Economic and Business Development area, adds: “We have met with representatives of the four local driving schools, who have expressed their support for this initiative. Güímar continues to innovate and support the young population in their training and their desire for emancipation, as we set out in the Güímar Educa Plan”.
Thus, the Güímar City Council is committed to this new line of subsidies that offers up to 300 euros per applicant, who must be between 17 and 35 years old, in addition to being enrolled in a driving school in the municipality.
