SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, July 4. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Educational and Social Area of Auditorio de Tenerife benefited this season a total of 15,000 people who participated in the 128 activities carried out by this project in which the Departments of Culture and Education of the Cabildo de Tenerife participate.
Specifically, these are shows for schools and social centers, performances in classrooms, meetings with teachers, didactic guides and educational resources are the backbone of the proposal.
The activities took place from November 2021 to June 2022 and in the first half of this period the capacity was still conditioned by the measures against COVID, the Cabildo reports in a note.
The program ‘Teatro en la Escuela’, which brings performing arts and music to classrooms throughout the island, added 89 performances and 7,120 spectators and the ten educational concerts of the Tenerife Symphony held in the Auditorium brought together 2,749 people .
The school and public performances of the family opera ‘Les contes d’Hoffmann’ (The Tales of Hoffmann) totaled 2,700 attendees.
The programs ‘Escuelas de Teatro’, which develops theater classes by ages in 12 municipalities of the island, and ‘Teatro Aficionado’, which promotes this art among cultural associations, brought together more than 300 people between the participants and the public that attended the final samples or functions of both initiatives.
The rest of the educational and family shows, a fortnight, were enjoyed by 2,301 people.
In addition, last weekend, the Auditorium area actively participated in the program of the annual meeting of the Network of Educational and Social Concert Organizers (ROCE) to which Auditorio de Tenerife belongs and which took place in San Sebastián under the motto ‘Leadership, diversity and innovation in management models’.
