Calima and more strong winds this Tuesday in the Canary Islands

The Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet) announces cloudy skies for this Tuesday in the north of Lanzarote and of the islands of more relief, with opening of clearings, and in the rest little cloudy or clear; probable haze in height in the eastern islands and maximum temperatures with few changes or slightly rising. The haze will spread from east to west throughout the day.

The wind will be from the northeast, more intense on the southeast and northwest slopes. On central peaks of Tenerife, there will be a southwest wind with strong intervals more likely at noon. The prediction of the Aemet in the Canary Islands contemplates wind from the northeast, more intense in the areas usually exposed to the trade wind. With low probability, could exceed 70 kilometers per hourvery punctually in the far west and southeast of Gran Canaria, as well as on the southeastern slope of Tenerife, the western slope and summits of La Gomera, the northwestern extremes and southeastern slopes of La Palma and El Hierro, and in the south of the peninsula from Jandia.

GRAND CANARY

In the north, in areas below 1000 meters, cloudy intervals with clear openings during central hours. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear skies. Probable haze in height. Minimum temperatures with few changes, maximum in slight rise, mainly in interior areas. Northeast wind, with strong intervals on the southeast and northwest slopes. Breezes off the southwest coast.

TENERIFE

In the north, cloudy intervals with clear openings during central hours. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear skies. Minimum temperatures with few changes and maximum temperatures slightly rising, which will be more pronounced in interior areas. Northeast wind, more intense on the southeast slope and extreme west, especially during the afternoon. In central summits, wind from the southwest, with more likely strong intervals at noon. Breezes off the southwest coast.

Northeast wind, more intense in the extreme northwest and the east slope, mainly in the second half of the day. Breezes off the southwest coast.

THE PALM

In the north and east, cloudy intervals, predominantly cloudy skies in the early and late hours. In the rest, slightly cloudy or clear skies. Temperatures with few changes, with some slight rise in the maximum and some slight decrease in the minimum. Northeast wind, more intense on the northwest and southeast slopes, especially in the second half of the day. Breezes on west shores.

In the north, cloudy intervals tending to slightly cloudy during the afternoon. In the rest, a bit cloudy or clear.
