Transportes Interurbanos de Tenerife (Titsa), a Cabildo company, will improve the line 105 travel time (Interchanger of Santa Cruz-Punta del Hidalgo) with some modifications in its route that will start from next Monday, July 4.
The Minister of Mobility and president of Titsa, Enrique Arriaga, highlighted that these changes, which in principle will only be carried out on weekdays, mean that there will be 28 daily departures and are intended not only to improve travel time for current customers, but also to be the alternative to those who travel by car every day from the coastal region of La Laguna to Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the hospital centers and the University.
For his part, the insular director of Mobility, José Alberto León, explained that these changes are carried out after an in-depth analysis of mobility in the region of Tegueste, Tejina, Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo, in order to continue adapting the services to the needs of the inhabitants of the island.
With the modification, the line will circulate along the Vía de Ronda, which will allow a saving of 15 minutes of travel for passengers who live between Tegueste and Punta del Hidalgo and have Santa Cruz de Tenerife or hospitals as their origin or destinationfor instance.
In addition, the route will make the Las Quinteras stop, located just 100 meters from the La Laguna Town Hall and the Plaza del Adelantado, allowing a more direct connection of that area with the capital or with the coastal region of La Laguna.
From Santa Cruz, line 105 passes through Altagay, which means that travelers can get to that place without having to do it on foot as before.
At the same time, the company will increase the frequency of line 015 (Santa Cruz-La Laguna), since the new route does not include the passage through the La Laguna Interchange.
Titsa will also carry out modifications to line 050 that connects La Laguna, Tegueste, Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo. As of July 4, the route will increase its services on weekdays to reach a frequency of every 30 minutes. This represents a very important improvement for the mobility of Tejina and Punta del Hidalgo, as users will have three buses per hour instead of the current two, also passing through Altagay, an area that has increased in number of residents in recent years. .
Titsa recalls that all these changes can be consulted on the website www.titsa.com, by calling 922.53.13.00 and through the company’s social networks.
