The Circle of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of the South of Tenerife (CEST) He presented the main business proposals included in his roadmap Eight steps towards the future of the South, with the support of the Provincial Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (CEOE-Tenerife) and the Association of Marinas of the Canary Islands. During the presentation, topics were discussed regarding the different points of the document presented, “dealing with the most important specific projects for the future socioeconomic development of the South.”
In the presentation were the president of the CEST, Roberto Ucelay, and the general secretary of the aforementioned entity, Javier Cabrera, who were accompanied by the member of the Board of Directors of CEOE-Tenerife Roberto Carlos Rey and the representative of the Association of Sports Ports Tomás Azcárate.
During the exhibition, Roberto Ucelay highlighted the growth of the South Region of Tenerife in recent years, and explained that it is “a real obligation” to renew the infrastructures and services in this area, since it is one of the population centers and the main economic engine of the Island. «There are figures, such as poverty, which can be hard and discouraging; however, we must work to reverse them, seeking social sustainability based on productive employment, the generation of wealth and issues such as training or retraining of workers », he explained.
In addition to thanking the presence of the CEOE and the Marinas “for what they mean and represent”, he thanked the support that other business organizations have shown him. “The fact that our proposals have been picked up by other associations allows us to continue the growth efforts and, jointly, achieve the consolidation and recovery of the projects necessary for the development of the South”, assured the president of the CEST.
