The Granadilla de Abona Farmer’s Marketthe second oldest in Tenerife and the first in the South region, tomorrow celebrates its 26th anniversary in the Plaza de El Médanowith activities organized by the City Council, through the Employment and Local Development Agency and the Primary Sector area (AEDL), whose manager is Yanira González.
The day will take place from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will begin with the sale of fresh and seasonal products as is traditional every Wednesday of the week. At 8:00 a.m. a healthy yoga class will be taught. A cooking workshop for the little ones, a cooking show with fresh and seasonal products, actions in the tents of the Emplea Agrícola 2021 and Socorrismo Granadilla 2021 employment plans will complete tomorrow’s session. At noon there will be raffles, batucada and comparsas.
Yanira González points out that the market has already established itself in the south and in Tenerife as a benchmark center in terms of quality products and agricultural sustainability. He conveys his congratulations to all the farmers, ranchers and artisans who have collaborated on this project since the first steps were taken in 1996.
The Granadilla de Abona Farmer’s Market has more than a hundred members and is located at the intersection of the TF-1 Motorway, heading towards El Médano. Open on Saturdays, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and on Sundays, from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. On Wednesdays it is in the Plaza de El Médano, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and on Thursdays in the Plaza del Calvario, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
