Two abnormally low bids, out of the seven that were submitted to the tender to award the work to rehabilitate the Santa Cruz Masonic Temple, have delayed the final award of this important intervention, which should have been carried out at the last contracting table held on June 17. According to the minutes of that last table, two companies submitted offers well below the 3.2 million established in the specifications as the base budget for the tender.
The members of the table, given the abnormally low price, sent the final decision to a new table so that these two companies justify the prices they have presented, as established by law that must be followed in these cases.
Two companies will have to justify the prices presented for the rehabilitation of the Masonic Temple of Santa Cruz

These are the company Víctor Rodríguez e Hijos and the Temporary Union of Companies (UTE) Satocan-Rodio Kronsa Masonic Temple. The first presented an offer valued at 2,950,269 euros, while the second did so for 2,854,046 euros. The next company with the lowest offer of the remaining five is the UTE Natur System-Copisa Constructor Pirenaica, for 3,089,661 euros, which, after the two mentioned above, has the third best score in the tender, including all the criteria evaluable in addition to the price.
The works projected by the architect María Nieves Febles in the masonic temple of Santa Cruz, will focus on the symbolic and material recovery of the Masonic lodge, taking into account its BIC category, in addition to adapting and making compatible the new uses, with the heritage character of the building, contemplating, in addition, the recovery of the spatial and iconographic configuration of the spaces of greater symbolism, such as the Meeting Room and the Agape Room. To this end, the drafting team contemplates incorporating current construction techniques in newly created spaces or spaces of symbolic interest, whose resolution is more advantageous for the final resolution.
