The City Council of The Massacre of Acentejo invest €422,000 in the reform and extension of the installations of the municipal swimming pooll. The works have already begun and when they are finished they will allow to avoid leaks, increase energy efficiency and expand the installation with one more lane for swimming and a therapeutic vessel 36 meters long.
The works began in the main vessel of the municipal swimming pool, where it has been demolished the access ramp. An action that will allow “to win a complete street for swimming, having been partially occupied by that ramp”, according to the Government of The slaughterwho presides Ignacio Rodriguez (PSOE).
The new access will be located on the other side of the facility, closer to the new therapeutic vessel with which these aquatic facilities managed by the Matanzas City Council will be equipped. Rodríguez considers that these interventions «will open a new horizon of possibilities by allowing more rehabilitation sessions and workshops to be scheduled over time that can benefit the group of elderly and dependent people, or even become a training space in this professional field».
The budget of 422,650 euros will also allow remodeling the waterproofing of the entire complex, avoiding water leaks and reducing additional energy expenditure.
