The Popular Party defends, together with the Crianca collective, the presence of the Canarian black bee in the Teide National Park.
The counselor Valentín González Évora recalls that “the popular ones already have a proposal to promote a Protection Plan for the insect, which was supported by the Cabildo.” He affirms that “we will continue working so that this traditional and necessary activity for the conservation of the environment is maintained in the surroundings of Teide”.
The members of Crianca, for their part, defend that “the Canarian black bee is adapted to our native flora; It is a fundamental species to conserve and protect it.”
The beekeepers will present allegations to the draft of the Master Plan now on public display since “the document indicates that the Park can only house 1,200 hives and we do not know the technical criteria to establish this number, since it varies and always depends on production.”
