The Council of Tenerifethrough the Area of Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Actionhas published a call for aids to finance actions that contribute to boost activity in the open commercial zones (OCA) of the Island. The budget for this measure amounts to €150,000.
The councilor of the area, Carmen Luz Baso, explained that this line of subsidies seeks to reinforce the competitiveness of the commercial fabric located in the residential urban centers of Tenerife.
“The goal is to promote activities that provide added value to people who choose buy in small and medium businessestaking advantage of the assets provided by each municipality, the close treatment and own identity that open shopping areas have,” said Baso.
The insular official also highlighted, as other priorities of these subsidies, contributing to “improving the attractiveness of local commerce and continuing to advance in promoting consumption social and environmental sustainable“.
Through this line of aid, different commercial revitalization actions can be financed, such as talks, seminars, fairs, tapas routesas well as promotional campaigns or the provision of ancillary services that increase the attractiveness of the open commercial area (childcare, home delivery, etc.).
The grant may reach 60% of the total cost of the projectuntil reaching a maximum of 12,000 euros in those cases in which, in addition to promoting the commercial brand, a program of revitalization activities is sought.
