SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 24. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Coordinating Center for Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2 has registered from 4:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon and until 6:00 a.m. today more than one hundred incidents related to the San Juan bonfires.
As reported by Cecoes 1-1-2, around 90 of the recorded incidents occurred in the western islands and a fortnight in the eastern islands. However, none were serious.
Among other incidents, members of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Civil Protection Volunteer Group had to intervene during the night to put out some bonfires that had gotten out of control.
The incidents occurred in places such as the Tíncer area or in an area near Alegranza street, where the spread of fire from a bonfire that got out of control and affected a home was prevented.
