Redoblones crown the children’s murgas

After a high-level contest in which the children’s murgas shone and showed that despite COVID-19, the desire and enthusiasm to do Carnival are indestructible, Redoblones won the first acting prize for the first time in its four years of existence. The second was for some Mamelones with good lyrics. The third and fourth went to Twisted and Beavers.

In presentation, the jury opted for awarding the highest award to Twisted, becoming the fifth first prize they have won in their history. The second was for Mamelones with a design by Josué Quevedo. The third and second prize for El Cabito and Los Redoblones.

As for the unofficial prizes, the Chinchositos Children’s Murga awarded the Berto Marichal Prize for the best Children’s percussion to Mamelones and Guachipanduzy. Suffocated, meanwhile, presented the Jesús Manuel Tosco El Compinche Award to the most childish murga awarded by Suffocated: Long Languages.
