Gesta of the Olympus Zeus in Tenerife. This club, only one year old, put on a stellar performance at the Villa de Arafo, in Tenerife, on the occasion of the Canarian Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championship, and in which groups from Lanzarote and Tenerife also took part.
The Gran Canaria entity was proclaimed regional champion in all the categories in which it participated (Base 2, Base 3 and Base 5). Gymnasts Iván Santana, Stefano Fazi, Needar Sierra, Enzo Laurent Curbelo and Marcos Rodríguez climbed to the top of the podium, winning a haul of 28 medals and five trophies. These athletes, after their success, are now preparing to participate in the Spanish Championship, which will be held in Pamplona in July.
This great result of Olimpus Zeus joins the one obtained in April within the Jesús Telo Federated Promotion League Champions School, where it was the team with the highest representation between male and female (47).
Also, on trampoline, Adriana Pérez Herrera won the national bronze in double mini-tramp. This week, the women’s team takes part in the Spanish Championship that takes place in Lleida.
