SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 21 (EUROPA PRESS) –
Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Main Post of Candelaria, within the framework of the ‘RiscoClub operation’, have arrested four people as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, in its drug trafficking modality.
In addition, they have managed to dismantle two marijuana plantations that were in the towns of Candelaria and Arafo, as well as a cannabis club that was dedicated to the distribution of cannabis products indiscriminately.
Civil Guard agents began the investigation at the beginning of this year. During the same, they discovered that the sale of the narcotic substance was carried out in a cannabis club in the aforementioned town.
After various discreet surveillance services and other steps, the agents obtained sufficient evidence that led them to know where the drug came from, managing to find out the exact place of production of the substance.
This was located in a large garage separated by two hermetically sealed rooms, that is, a perfectly organized laboratory where the different types of cannabis sativa plants were found, some in the production phase and others in the harvesting phase.
The structure had a false ceiling that allowed it to have three large extractors installed and the two rooms had ventilation, dehumidifiers, air conditioning equipment, heat lamps and all kinds of measuring devices for optimal conditions of rapid production, powered by a complex automated electrical system and by a water irrigation system with regulation of its hardness and pH.
The registrations were carried out simultaneously, on the one hand, four entries and registrations in four addresses located in the municipalities of Candelaria, Güimar and Arafo and, at the same time, others in two cannabis clubs established in Candelaria and Güimar, for which it had the support of agents of the Local Police of the three municipalities.
During the set of searches, a total of 14,260.63 euros was seized, as well as various products derived from cannabis plants ready for sale valued at around 47,000 euros and a significant amount of material for the preparation of the drug, highlighting press and molds for the production of hashish pollen pills.
With this operation, the Civil Guard has managed to dismantle and put an end to the illegal activity carried out in the cannabis club which, taking advantage of an apparent associative legal activity, profited by indiscriminately putting into circulation a significant amount of cannabis substances.
In addition, during the searches it was verified that in the aforementioned clubs the electrical wiring with which they provided electricity to the place where they had the production of the seized narcotic substance had been manipulated in a dangerous way, the agents proceeding to inform the electric company and impute a crime of electric power fraud.
The detainees, together with the proceedings carried out, have been placed at the disposal of the Güímar Guard Court of Instruction.
