The spokesman for the Gomeran Socialist Group Parliamentary Group (ASG), Casimiro Curbelo, has had an impact on setting the challenges for the Canary Islands of the future that will make it possible to achieve a society of equals and consolidated rights, pointing to a territorial redistribution of wealth.
In a statement, the party has explained that its representative will present in the next session of the regional Parliament a set of proposals on the roadmap that the islands must adopt to lay the foundations for progress.
Here, Curbelo alluded to the prioritization of all those elements that make it possible to eradicate the current structural deficits; guarantee the privileges and singularities in order to be able to address the necessary measures that project the Canary Islands of the future.
To do this, he insisted on strengthening instruments that end social exclusion, as well as giving guarantees regarding the maintenance of essential services, “because my group aspires to a better society.”
Likewise, he emphasized the territorial redistribution of wealth, for which he asked “to understand the islands from each reality and with the added difficulties suffered by those called smaller islands, in terms of the extra costs of double insularity.”
