This project, which began to take shape five years ago, involved students from educational centers in Campino, Good Advice, Julio Delgado Delgado, Las Abiertas, Lucas Martín Espino, Baldomero Bethencourt Francés and Nicolás Estévez Borges.
Matthias Mata thanked the work of Apreme and the City Council, “which have made possible this creative process carried out by all, with the value that children are not normally allowed to create freely, exposing their ideas and thoughts. That is why we decided that it was important to keep all those messages to raise awareness in the public space. A way also to talk about the transparency of being, through the gaze and the illusion of Christ and Savior».
The mayor of Icod, Francis Gonzalez (CC), made it clear that “public walls are for this: to show things and remind us of the need to continue advancing in this fight.” He announced that they will continue “with the effort to help and keep up with Apreme, who has all our admiration and affection.” Apreme is made up of a team of 13 professionals who work with 26 families of adults with disabilities of Icod, Garachico, Los Silos, Los Realejos, Puerto de la Cruz or Santiago del Teide.
