The airline Norwegian has activated three new routes between the Canary Islands and Norway for the next winter season 2022/23. Specifically, it will connect Gran Canaria with Sandefjord every Sunday from October 30, with a weekly frequency.
Likewise, it will link Tenerife Sur with Stavanger and Bergenwith a weekly frequency every Saturday from Saturday, November 5, as reported by the airline in a press release.
These are seasonal routes, part of the winter program starting in the fall of 2022, and will be available until the Easter holidays of 2023.
Of the three routes that Norwegian is launching, the one that will Tenerife South with Stavanger “it is an absolute novelty”, while those from Gran Canaria to Sandefjord and from Tenerife South to Bergen will reopen this fall “after a long hiatus” of more than two years since the pandemic broke out in early 2020.
In this regard, the executive vice president of Networks, Prices and Planning of Norwegian, Magnus Thome Maursund, has pointed out that Tenerife and Gran Canaria are destinations that occupy “a prominent place on the list of places that Norwegians want to visit in the winter season”, hence, the airline continues to “expand offers from cities in Norway with direct routes to these popular destinations for the 2022/23 winter season. The route from Stavanger to Tenerife is an absolute novelty”, so it expects that ” be well received.”
