The low cloud cover and the fog banks that have formed throughout the morning in the north of the island have forced several flights to be diverted of Tenerife North airport– The rodeos. Several island flights have had to be diverted to the southern airport due to the low visibility of the northern airfield.
Some have circled the north of the island several times hoping that the cloudiness would dissipate so that they could carry out the approach maneuver with good visibility.
The situation has been improving and the forecast is that the fog banks will dissipate throughout the morning and that the Los Rodeos airport operates normally.
