The Cabildo grants Santa Cruz and La Laguna a commemorative plaque for the 15 years of the tram. The president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, has delivered it to the mayors of the capital and Aguere, José Manuel Bermúdez and Luis Yeray Gutiérrez respectively. Arriaga values: «The tram has changed mobility in both cities, a means of transport to which more passengers are added every day due to punctuality, frequency and price».
For Bermúdez, «the tram’s 15 years of operation are good news for mobility in the Metropolitan Area. Over time it has become essential to connect the two municipalities»
Gutiérrez explains that “the tram has been a great boost for accessible and sustainable mobility.” He points out that “our goal is to promote universal accessibility and reduce the use of private vehicles. A modern and efficient environment thanks to its staff».
