The City Council of Granadilla de Abona brings the attention offices to the residents of the mediocrities

The City Council of Granadilla de Abona, through the municipal company Sermugran, undertakes a new project to bring the Citizen Attention Service (SAC) closer to the population centers of the municipality. On May 20, a new itinerant SAC service was launched in Charco del Pino and Chimiche.

In Charco del Pino, the office is located in the Virgen del Pino Day Center for the Elderly and opens the first Friday of each month, while in Chimiche it is located in the House of Culture and is open on the third Friday of each month. The schedule in both places is from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Consistory announces that it will enable more days based on the periods with the highest number of procedures and the existing demand. The City Council also plans to launch a new SAC office in Los Abrigos this year.

The mayor, José Domingo Regalado, argues that “This is one more step we are taking to decentralize and improve the service and attention to our neighbors, especially in the midlands. The president of Sermugran, Marcos González, emphasizes that “we are approaching the needs, above all, of the elderly population in these neighborhoods”, and stresses that, depending on the needs and openings of specific deadlines, it will be extended or not. office hours. The vice president of Sermugran, María Candelaria Rodríguez, points out that it is one of the government group’s commitments and “a clear commitment and improvement of services to citizens to facilitate their procedures with the local administration,” she emphasizes.

From the public service company, general cleaning work is also intensified, with weekly sweeper sweeps in the enclaves, in addition to increasing the frequency of pressure washdowns on the roads of the nuclei with the greatest influx of citizens. Among other things, it proceeds to disinfect streets and public spaces with water in the morning, afternoon and night, apart from containers, whose sanitization will be carried out more frequently.

Also, from the maintenance area they run road signaling works in areas in Granadilla Casco and El Médanoin addition to actions to improve the accessibility of roads such as Príncipes de España and the replacement of pavement on sidewalks from Plaza Magallanes to the M3 multifunctional space.

Sermugran, a municipal public company, has as its essential objective the management of services for citizens and in this post-pandemic period it has promoted a series of improvements to public spaces and services, both from cleaning and maintenance to citizen care .
