The person responsible for the security guards of the Palace of Justice of Santa Cruz of Tenerife activated on the morning of this Wednesday, June 8, the protocol for the existence of a “suspicious backpack” outside the property.
As a result of this episode, access to the premises remained closed for at least twenty minutes. Nevertheless, evacuation was not considered necessary of the infrastructure.
However, for security reasons, the perimeter of the place where the aforementioned backpack appeared was cordoned off.
In fact, he went to the place a Tedax agent of the National Police, who ruled out that it was an explosive device, according to sources from the security body and the Government of the Canary Islands.
Backpack was left outside the Palace of Justice by a man who did not want to go through the scanner at the entrance of the building with it.
These cases occur when the user of the building carries in his bag, fanny pack or backpack some type of element that is considered dangerous by security guards, such as any type of knife, for example. This circumstance, as is evident, causes the prohibition of access of the person who carries it.
