SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 4. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has closed the campaign to promote the wines of the island in the two Lavinia stores in Madrid with a balance of influx of more than 6,000 visitors, more than 500 bottles sold and an estimated reach of more than 300,000 people.
In a press release, the Island Corporation has indicated that for a month, the wines from eleven wineries on the island have exhibited their gastronomic potential in the Lavinia Ortega y Gasset stores (the largest wine cellar in continental Europe) and Lavinia Moraleja Green, as well as in the Lavinia virtual store.
In this regard, the island councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, recalled that Lavinia is one of the largest wine distributors in Europe.
For this reason, he assured that “the fact that so many professionals in the sector have been able to learn about our richness and winemaking uniqueness is a magnificent opportunity to place the island’s wines in the main restaurants and menus in Spain.”
For his part, the director of Lavinia Spain, Juan Manuel Bellver, commented that, “since they are very particular wines, they aroused much expectation among the sommeliers, who took advantage of all the events held during the campaign to taste the wines together with the winemakers” .
Bellver maintains that all of them highlighted “how enriching it is to get to know the wines from the hands of those who make them” and valued the effort involved in being live at the different events of the campaign.
This campaign has been led by the insular area of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries and Tenerife Tourism, and aimed to publicize the wide oenological and wine tourism offer offered by the island and facilitate access to and sale of Tenerife wines throughout Spain. .
Specifically, the wineries of Altos de Tr3vejos, Cráter, La Araucaria, Bodegas Insulares (Humboldt), Los Loros, Proyecto 1400 (Bodega Viña Gómez), Suertes del Marqués, Viñátigo, Monje, Tajinaste and Bodega El Sitio participated.
