SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 1 (EUROPE PRESS) –
Maritime Rescue troops have rescued this afternoon 39 migrants who were traveling aboard a small boat located in the south of the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1-1-2.
The ‘Helimer’ helicopter transported one of them with hypothermia and dehydration to the helipad of the Doctor Negrín University Hospital of Gran Canaria, where he was treated by health personnel from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC).
The other 38 were transferred by the Maritime Rescue vessel to the Los Cristianos pier, where they have been treated by SUC and Red Cross personnel. All were in good general condition and seven minors were traveling in the group.
