The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved the subsidy destined to expenses of actions and recreational and leisure activities of the child and youth population of the Island with disabilities, which will have a budget of 50,000 euros.
The CEO of Citizen Participation and Diversity, Nauzet Gugliotta, pointed out that this economic injection will help third-sector entities to promote inclusive projects with minors throughout the year.
With the approval of the bases and the announcement of this subsidy, the Cabildo intends to promote cohesion, inclusion and social and participatory integration of children and adolescents who present some type of disability, disorder or any other circumstance that derives in social problems. or communication. “We seek to reach the largest number of groups, so the maximum limit per project will be 12,500 euros,” explained Nauzet Gugliotta.
This line of aid is also oriented towards the promotion of values and attitudes that are essential for the proper development of children and young people: socialization, culture, education, sports, environment*It therefore tries to facilitate a coexistence in a diverse, open and inclusive environment, where tolerance and respect prevail.
The concession procedure will be by competitive bidding, in accordance with previously established evaluation criteria and objectives. All projects must be executed between June 1, 2022 and April 30, 2023. The entities that are beneficiaries will have two more months, between May and July 2023, to justify the cost of the subsidy.
