SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, June 1 (EUROPE PRESS) –

An agent of the Local Police has helped a woman to give birth in the middle of the street with the teleassistance of the doctor of the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) in the municipality of Granadilla de Abona, in Tenerife, as reported by the Coordinating Center of Emergencies and Security (Cecoes) 1-1-2.

The events occurred around 1:15 p.m., when an agent from the Granadilla de Abona Local Police alerted 1-1-2 requesting health care for a woman who had given birth on the public road in the Los Cardones area, in San Isidro.

While the health resources were moving, the Local Police agent who was with the affected woman promptly followed the instructions that the SUC doctor, present in the 1-1-2 operating room, was giving her so that the delivery would take place Safely. The SUC doctor told him how to proceed at all times until the expulsion process was over and what to do to clamp the cord until the arrival of the ambulances.

The birth was uneventful, and both the newborn, a boy, and his 35-year-old mother were in good condition.

The personnel of a basic life support ambulance, which was the first to arrive at the scene of the incident, continued to assist the affected woman and the baby until the arrival of a medicalized ambulance that was in charge of evaluating them and preparing their transfer to the hospital once Once the delivery occurred and both were stabilized.
