The Valley of La Orotava hosts a new edition of the festival ‘Proyectea Rooms’

The three municipalities of Orotava Valley will host a new edition of the festival Project Roomspowered by the General Directorate of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands as a reference space for young Canarian talent. More than 10,000 people attended this initiative in December 2021 in La Laguna, which between June and July moves to Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava and Los Realejoswith the support of its Youth Departments to make visible the art, innovation and entrepreneurial capacity of the young people of the islands.

Director of Project Rooms, Carlos Gomezhighlights that it will have “an unparalleled and authentically Canarian poster”, as well as the support of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the Canary Islands (AJE Canarias). The proposal will be divided into three major events distributed among the municipalities that support it. The sessions start on June 11, 2022 in the Youth House of Puerto de la Cruz then move to La Orotava, on July 2 in the surroundings of the Victoria Garden. They will conclude in The Realejos the following weekend, on July 8, 9 and 10, at Finca Sulula.

Among the participating artists, renowned artists such as Maykel DelaCalle, Omayra Cazorla, La Benito Escriba, Mel Ömana, Della Dú or María al Revéswho will share performances and talent tables together with influencers like Gazz, Michelle Calvó, Juan Castro or Alex Mercurio. There will also be workshops, presentations and specific activities such as chef tastings Victor Suarez or Jorge Bosch; exhibitions of Carnival groups, or art exhibitions, among others.

Near 40 trademarks of Canarian entrepreneurs and designersWhat Arcadio Domínguez, Hutton, Mía Sustainable, Ossstm or Aqüe Apparelwill star in a market in the three enclaves, where you can also enjoy the Patio Gourmet, with local products and menus from different restaurants or food trucks. There will also be workshops and a huge children’s playroom.

The general director of Youth of the Government of the Canary Islands, Laura Fuenteshighlights that «Project Rooms It is the perfect showcase for young Canarian talent. It is a unique opportunity to add synergies, open business opportunities or make yourself known. At the same time, it is a very attractive leisure activity for all those who want to come and participate in the different and varied actions provided by the organization of the event».

For the Youth councilors of the three northern towns, the commitment to local young talent “is essential and necessary” and they emphasize that initiatives such as the one proposed by Project Rooms they are “vital to place Canarian youth in the place it deserves”. There will be a free bus service that will connect the three municipalities on the 8th, 9th and 10th.
