Salvamento Marítimo has rescued this Sunday a boat in which 58 people were travelling, including eight women and two babies, heading to the Canary Islands, according to sources from the public body. With this new boat there are already 279 migrants who have been rescued in Canary waters so far this weekend.
This morning Moroccan Maritime Rescue reported that when its unit was in a rescue operation for a small boat near Tan Tan, it officially requested the collaboration of the Spanish Maritime Rescue for the rescue of a second small boat 54 miles from Arrecife, sighted by the ship.
