SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 29 May. (EUROPE PRESS) –
A total of seven wineries from the Canary Islands are present from today, Sunday, at the eleventh edition of the Vinoble Fair held at the Alcázar de Jerez de la Frontera, an event dedicated exclusively to fortified, liqueur and special sweet wines that includes professionals of the sector of the five continents.
Thus, the wines of the Islands are promoted in a first-class showcase to establish business relationships with potential buyers and open new markets. And to make this participation a reality, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, through the Canarian Institute of Agrifood Quality (ICCA), organizes and coordinates the attendance of the island wineries at the fair.
Over time, Vinoble has become one of the most important international exhibitions dedicated to the world of wine. Its specialization in a very specific type of wine has recognized it as an unmissable event for winemakers, buyers and wine importers from all over the world.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alicia Vanoostende, has highlighted the importance of the presence of Canarian wineries “in this type of fundamental event for the sector, with greater involvement of winemakers and administrations, for which is essential to project the unique characteristics of our wines in a demanding market”.
Finally, Vanoostende wanted to remind that this action is part of the regional department’s strategy to promote foreign marketing of Canarian productions such as wine.
