An agent of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife rescued from the sea a woman who was drowning on the beach of Las Teresitas. The incident took place on the afternoon of Saturday, May 28.
Given this person’s emergency situation, the agent took off his regulation uniform and swam to the affected person to rescue her. Subsequently, the health resources evacuated her, as reported by the local security body on their social networks.
A nurse who was on the beach and whose help “was essential” also collaborated in this rescue, as indicated by the Local Police on Twitter. In addition, he adds, relatives of the affected person helped to refer her to a health center.
