Eulogio Concepción was born in Güímar, Tenerife, on July 17, 1933, although his roots are in Haría (Lanzarote). This municipality has been an influential figure in island crafts, as well as in other areas such as agriculture. Concepción is known as the last basket maker in Lanzarote, “even having to cut the palms to stock up on pirganos due to the lack of pruners.” The Cabildo de Lanzarote has presented a video with which it recognizes his work on the occasion of Canary Islands Day.
