A man will be tried next week in the fifth section of the Audiencia de Santa Cruz de Tenerife accused of a crime of attempted murder, since during an argument he stabbed another for whom he had worked making “eyebolts”.
The Prosecutor’s Office asks for a sentence of six years in prison for the accused, observing the aggravating circumstance of abuse of superiority and the extenuating circumstance of confession, because before knowing that the Police wanted him, he appeared at the Tacoronte Civil Guard barracks and admitted the authorship of the facts.
The qualification document details that the victim of the assault was angry with the defendant because he thought he was telling third parties that he owed him money.
For this reason, he decided to get out of the car in which he was traveling with his girlfriend when he saw the accused having a few beers in a bar in La Laguna, to clear things up.
Outside the bar, both began a “heated discussion” that ended up degenerating into a fight, in which both punched, kicked and even bit each other.
After being separated, the defendant rebuked and reproached the couple for owing him 500 euros more because he had ripped her shirt, to which she responded by punching him.
At that moment, the defendant took a 10-centimeter blade knife out of the fanny pack.
The man who had hired him for the “eyebolts” tried to immobilize him by grabbing his neck, and he, “with the purpose of taking his life”, began to indiscriminately hit him with the knife on his arms and chest, causing injuries to his hands. who had to be hospitalized.
The defendant left the scene after verifying that the victim was being evacuated urgently in a car and went to the Civil Guard barracks in Tacoronte to tell what had just happened.
