The Cabildo de Tenerife and the Adeje City Council are launching the Adeje Develops employment program, through which 37 people will obtain a job simultaneously with complementary training. This project will have a budget of 753,139 euros, of which 300,672 will be financed through the subsidy requested from the Cabildo de Tenerife and 452,466, from a contribution from the Consistory.
This project is included “in the Municipal Employment Program for 2022 to which the Cabildo has allocated 10.5 million euros,” said the Councilor for Employment, Socioeconomic Development and Foreign Action of the Cabildo, Carmen Luz Baso. “As in other municipalities, this joint project will provide almost forty people with a job for twelve months, to which courses will be added both aimed at the professionalization and recycling of registered people and other transversal skills related to the environment. , equal opportunities and labor aspects”, he added.
The Councilor for Economic Development and Employment Policies, Raquel Rodríguez, indicated that “the Adeje Develop project is designed to provide job opportunities for young people”, and added that “the objective that is sought with this initiative is to achieve the labor insertion of this group, especially that of qualified people without work experience.
In this sense, the mayor pointed out that the initiative, “as well as the actions that are going to be carried out, have to do with green employment, the enhancement of the cultural, ethnographic and historical-artistic heritage of the municipality, in addition to socio-cultural activities and tourism, etc.
The program of objectives of this project includes, among other things, job orientation and prospecting for vulnerable groups, promotion of communication in the area of Ecological Transition, Land Management, Development and Employment, the digitization of municipal files and the design projects and development plans.
