El Tanque will have a paragliding take-off runway

The tank continues to strive to improve its public infrastructure to attract, with the help of the island ring, a growing number of visitors. Morales is confident that the expropriation process will begin “in the coming weeks” and that it can be concluded satisfactorily in a reasonable period of time. “The objective of this initiative is to improve the use of our advantages as a municipality, boost economic activity in the town and expand the offer in a booming sports modality and with great tourist projection,” he highlights. the tanker mayor.

This paragliding take-off runway will improve safety and consolidate El Tanque as the place of reference to start flights over the spectacular landscape of the northwest of Tenerife. The Cabildo of Tenerife, through the Ministry of Tourismalso signed a collaboration agreement with the Consistory of La Orotava to carry out the construction of a safe paragliding take-off platform in Izaña, in the Teide National Parkwhere it was agreed to invest 458,000 euros in an action designed to “provide one of the main flight areas on the island with adequate space.”

Urbanization El Lance

The City Council of El Tanque will invest 560,000 euros in the second phase for the rehabilitation of the El Lance Urbanization, thanks to the support of the Government of Spain, the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo de Tenerife.
