The Island Government Council approves the bases and the announcement of a line of aid for the promotion and improvement of the commercialization of local agri-food products destined for the internal market, endowed with a budget of 98,810 euros.
The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, explains that the objective is “to promote and promote short marketing channels through agricultural markets”, which “allows us to continue with our technical and economic support to agricultural associations linked to the direct sale of Tenerife».
The aid, which will be granted by competitive bidding, may benefit entities that manage agricultural markets whose purpose is to market, produce or transform local products.
Among the eligible expenses are the analysis of phytosanitary product residues (up to 1,000 euros), small infrastructure and equipment (up to 4,000) and other non-inventoriable expenses related to the promotion and improvement of marketing (up to 3,000). Each entity may receive a maximum of 8,000.
For the concession, the beneficiary agricultural area, the parity between men and women, the accreditations as ecological productions and the number of farmers who sell in each market, whose minimum has been reduced from six to three, will be taken into account. The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days from the day after the call is published in the BOP.
