Puerto de la Cruz will host the remote work summit in June

Cross port hosts from June 2 to 5, 2022 a great festival on digital culture, remote work and the impact of new technologies on society and employment in the 21st century. This is the first edition of Tenerife Digital Nomad Fest (Tednomad)a new format of “international festival and nomad”which will develop in both English and Spanish and will include activities such as conferences, round tables, concerts and meetings on issues such as payments with cryptocurrencies, the adaptation of hotels to digital nomads or the improvement of cybersecurity in work spaces.

tednomad You will have totally free admission, but you will require prior registration for all activities through the festival website until capacity is exhausted. It will bring together representatives of some of the most outstanding companies in the sector worldwide, such as Bit2Me, Nvidia, Meta, Plain Concepts, GET Protocol, Remote, Fellow Funders either flexjobs. It will also be a true “remote work summit”, which will serve to offer “an exchange of useful ideas for entrepreneurs from very diverse sectors such as tourism or technology, owners of startupservice providers co-working either colivingas well as self-employed or employed workers who want to know the lifestyle proposed by the end of labor presenteeism».

The insular director of Tourism of the Cabildo, Laura Castro, explains that “the island has become a benchmark for young people looking to work remotely and enjoy the diversity that we offer in services, leisure, gastronomy and culture. Therefore, among the island’s priorities is the consolidation of Tenerife as a sustainable and digital destination. With this objective, it promotes an Artificial Intelligence Master Plan to make the island an intelligent and attractive ecosystem for new visitor profiles such as digital nomads, remote workers, startup and companies”.

The CEO of Tenerife Tourism, David Perez, adds that “this island is one of the main destinations in the world for remote workers and digital nomads. We are currently the first destination in Spain that has presented a plan for both artificial intelligence and tourism cybersecurity». Pérez considers that “hosting an event of the stature of tednomad It is presented as a great opportunity to “generate synergies and opportunities, attract talent and implement economic activity around digitalization and digital nomad movement».

The mayor of Porto Mark Gonzalezaffirms that this festival is «a unique bet within the strategy of the Cultural and Creative Ecosystem that attracts international events such as tednomad to Puerto de la Cruz, a destination that continues to show that an expansive culture is an essential tool to face the future with guarantees».

This festival will also include remote worker conferences such as mike swigunski (Global Careers), Delilah Dawid (Metaverse) or Gui Perdrixwho is also CEO of co-liv. Cybersecurity will be another of the topics of study and analysis in tednomadwhich has the exclusive participation of Marcus Hutchinsone of the hackers best known in the world. In addition, one of the greatest specialists in cybercrime in Spain will attend, the lawyer and president of the National Association of Ethical Hacking Professionals, Susana Fernandez.

NFT technology

Other guests will be Guillermo Azqueta, founder of Fellow Fundersmultinational dedicated to the financing of startup and innovation; Jennifer Llano, from the data cloud infinity; Sara Sutton, CEO of the website specializing in remote talent flexjobs; Gorka Bengochea, from the artificial intelligence server plaiground; Asier Arranz, of NVIDIAand Jose Antonio Lozado of Plain Concepts.
