Agents of the National Police have arrested two British tourists aged 21 and 22 at the Tenerife South airport when they tried to return to their country without paying for the damage they caused to the hotel room where they had stayed, valued at more than 2,000 euros.
Police sources detail that the “vandalism” of these two young people caused damage to walls, furniture and various tools, and that they even threw the plasma television from their room into the street from the balcony.
The tourists agreed with the hotel management to pay for the damages, but they were identified at the airport control by the National Police when they intended to leave the national territory without paying anything.
The detainees, together with the report prepared for this purpose, were placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
