Agreement to install natural purification systems in La Laguna, Los Silos and Tacoronte

Sí Podemos Canarias champions the “new impetus for the implementation of natural purification systems in Tenerife”. This is confirmed by the group’s spokesperson, María José Belda. she who highlights that the municipalities of Los Silos, La Laguna and Tacoronte “will benefit from the installation of extensive treatment stations, respectful of the environment that will contribute to lowering the cost of water treatment.”

The motion, approved in the Plenary Sustainability Commission, was backed with the favorable votes of PSOE and Cs, the abstention of the PP and the rejection of the Canarian Coalition.

Belda affirms that this approval commits the Cabildo “to comply, as soon as possible, with the budget execution regarding the proposal.” The endowment with 500,000 euros for the tender, by the Insular Water Council, for the drafting of projects for natural purification stations».

The locations of these treatment plants will be «the municipality of Los Silos; El Batán, in the Anaga Rural Park (La Laguna), as well as in Mesa del Mar, El Pris, Jardín del Sol, Las Toscas, Parque Hoya Machado and Barranco Las Lajas (Tacoronte)».
